New Tacoma Drivetrain Enhancements
Entry-level SR models feature the standard turbocharged 2.4-liter engine, automatic eight-speed transmission and rear-wheel drive to generate 228 horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque. Moving up the trim levels allows you to get an i-FORCE powertrain. This powertrain uses a fine-tuned 2.4-liter engine to deliver 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque in the Tacoma SR. However, other trim levels with this powertrain at Ken Ganley Toyota Akron come with an output of up to 278 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque.
Some of our Green, Ohio customers might prefer a hybrid model that features the i-FORCE MAX plug-in hybrid powertrain. The powertrain has the same 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine but combines it with an electric motor and a 1.87-kWh battery to put out an impressive 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque.
When properly equipped, the Tacoma can tow up to 6,500 pounds.
New Tacoma Interior Improvements
The array of standard tech features includes an 8.0-inch infotainment system touchscreen. Of course, you might prefer the available 14-inch display, instead.
