If it detects a vehicle, pedestrian, animal, cyclist, or motorcyclist ahead, the radar assesses the distance to ensure your Toyota can respond appropriately.

Your speed is compared to the distance to determine if there’s a chance of an accident. If there is, you’ll receive visual and audio warnings, and these warnings become more frequent if the distance continues to close. If you’re unable to react to the impending collision, the system will trigger emergency braking. This brings your vehicle to an instant stop to prevent a collision.

Automatic High Beams 

High beams are essential for safe driving at night, allowing you to see the road ahead and identify potential hazards. Their direct angle can temporarily blind drivers in front or headed in your direction, and this can cause an accident. It’s active when you drive at 21 mph or more. It uses sensors to identify headlights or taillights, then switches to low beams automatically. Once the light source has left the sensor’s field of vision, your lights revert to high beams.

Road Sign Assist

Warning signs provide crucial information such as speed changes, but it’s easy to overlook a sign and fail to adjust your speed accordingly. This feature includes a dedicated camera that scans for signs, displaying any detected signs directly on your front screen, ensuring you always have the information you need at a glance.
