The base-model Sequoia SR5 sits on 18-inch alloy silver-painted wheels, with higher trims upgrading to 20-inch and 22-inch wheels. The Sequoia’s focal point is its handsome black horizontal-bar grille surrounded by stylish chrome.

Both the front and rear tires feature mudguards, and the rear door boasts a glossy black “SEQUOIA” badge. Additional “i-FORCE MAX” badging on the hood proudly displays the Sequoia’s robust engine. The roof features a mounted shark-fin-style antenna. 

Lighting

The base model comes with LED headlights, LED taillights, LED fog lights, and daytime-running lights. The main headlamps feature automatic on/off and manual leveling-adjustment capabilities. Higher trims upgrade to LED daytime lamps, sequential turn signals, and automatic leveling.

You can optionally upgrade your side-view mirrors to include integrated turn-signal indicators, blind-spot indicators, heating functions, and auto-dimming functions. An LED Trailer Reverse Assist light is also available as an add-on.

The eight-seater SUV offers over 86 cubic feet of maximum cargo volume, and the cabin’s roof features a tilting/sliding power moonroof with a sunshade. Passengers in the second and third rows sit on connected benches with fold-down seat backs. The second-row bench features a one-touch easy-access function to the third row. Both benches are split 60/40 to allow partial folding, and all seating positions have adjustable headrests.

You can opt for upgraded seating, switching out the fabric seat trim for SofTex. Higher trim levels offer leather-trimmed seating as a standard feature. 

New Technology

All 2024 Sequoia models are equipped with the Smart Key System, which includes keyless entry, illuminated entry, remote lock/unlock, panic, and trunk-release functions. This system also replaces your key-fob starter with a button starter. Each Sequoia trim includes a 12.3-inch digitized driver-information center with customizable screens.

The base model’s infotainment screen measures eight inches and connects to an eight-speaker audio system. You can upgrade to a 14-inch infotainment screen with an integrated JBL premium 14-speaker sound system, which is a standard feature on higher trims.

Peeking Under the Hood

Each new Toyota Sequoia houses an i-FORCE MAX twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that delivers 437 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft. of torque. The base model is rear-wheel drive, and you can opt for a 4WDemand part-time four-wheel drivetrain with any of the all-wheel-drive trim options. Each engine is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission and includes Eco, Sport, and Normal driving modes.
