Trims
Tundra is a four-door truck produced in crew-cab (CrewMax) and extended-cab (Double Cab) configurations, with a long bed and short bed available for each model. Toyota currently makes the Tundra in seven trims: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794, TRD Pro, and Capstone.
A 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 engine that churns out 389 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque is standard on the first five trims. The engine is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The same engine paired with a battery-electric hybrid system is optional on the Limited, Platinum, and the 1974 trims but standard on the TRD Pro and Capstone. This engine whips out about 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque.
SR
It has LED headlamps, 18-inch steel wheels, an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports wireless connection to a smartphone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, proximity keyless entry and start, and a sheet-molded compound composite bed. Its safety features include lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and pre-collision warning with automatic emergency braking.
SR5
It adds alloy wheels, a rear center with cupholders and armrest, LED fog lights, and a towing package.
Limited
It adds comfort and style to Tundra with its simulated leather upholstery, 20-inch wheels, digital instrument panel, ventilated and heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, tailgate release button attached to the driver's side taillight, a power vertical-sliding rear window, 14-inch center touchscreen, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
Platinum
It makes the Tundra much more luxurious with its heated and ventilated rear seats, premium LED headlamps, leather upholstery. It resembles the Limited trim, but Toyota optimizes it for rough terrains. As a result, it gets skid plates, fox suspension dampers, a 1.1-inch front suspension lift, q8-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, craw control, and a rear locking differential.
Capstone
It has everything comprised in the Platinum, plus: 22-inch wheels, power-deploying running boards, capstone-exclusive interior and exterior, head-up display, and sound-reducing front windows.
