When you want the fuel economy of a compact in a luxurious full-sized vehicle, you don’t have to look any further than the 2024 Toyota Crown. The lineup features three trims, each equipped with an array of luxurious standard amenities, allowing you to choose the perfect level of sophistication and comfort for your needs.

Design

Even the 2024 Crown’s lowest XLE trim level comes with luxurious touches such as heated front seats, a leather-trimmed shift knob, and a leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio, infotainment, and driver-assist controls. The dual-zone automatic climate control system allows the driver and front passenger to choose individual temperatures to ensure maximum comfort. It has dust and pollen filters, as well as vents in the back seats.

The driver’s seat is 8-way power-adjustable with lumbar support and the front passenger seat is also 8-way power-adjustable. The auto-dimming rearview mirror has a HomeLink universal transceiver that can be programmed to control your garage door, security system, house lighting, and more.

Performance

All 2024 Crown trims are all-wheel drive and the XLE base model is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder hybrid engine that delivers 184 hp and 163 lb-ft of torque. The net horsepower for the hybrid system is 236.

An Electronically Controlled Continuously Viable Transmission (ECVT), Smart Key System for the doors and trunk, and Push Button Start are also standard. The electronic parking brake has a Brake Hold function that can relieve fatigue during constant stop-and-go traffic by keeping the car in place while you remove your foot from the brake.

Technology

A 6-speaker audio system with a 3-month subscription to SiriusXM is standard on the 2024 Crown’s lowest XLE trim level. The infotainment system features a 12-inch Toyota Multimedia Display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. All trim levels come with a Qi-compatible wireless charger with an indicator light. A USB-A charging port is found on the front console. Two USB-C charging ports are also in the front row, with another two in the back row.

Safety

There is no lack of safety features on the 2024 Crown. The National Highway Traffic (NHTSA) has awarded it a perfect 5-star overall safety rating. Toyota has also installed the following safety and driver’s aid features on all trim levels:
